A platform about digital farming for farmers and scientists
With DiLan, the communication hub on digital agriculture, the Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Engineering and Bioeconomy e.V. (ATB) offers a platform for discussion and professional education.
We aim at stimulating discussions about new digital applications for horticulture and arable farming, the precise management and the optimization of soils, as well as irrigation, crop protection, harvesting and yields.
With the Fieldlab for Digital Agriculture we offer a testing ground for new digital technologies which is located in Potsdam-Marquardt, approx. 30 km from Germany’s capital Berlin.
What does the project DiLan want to achieve?
The aim is to promote consultation and exchange on the digitization in agriculture in the Federal State of Brandenburg and beyond and to simplify the transfer between research and practice.
Information and professional training
In our hands-on workshops farmers can learn:
– How to collect data about the condition of soils and plants?
– How to optimize water consumption in orchards?
– How to use sensors to reduce the use of pesticides?
